Property History

Sands Bethlehem opened its doors on May 22, 2009 with slot machines only as well as restaurants, bars, and entertainment.  In 2010, Sands added Table Games.  The Sands Hotel opened in May 2011 with 300 luxury rooms and meeting space designed for a wide range of events.  Additionally in 2011, a 2500-seat Sands Event Center opened, featuring top artists and entertainers.  Also, in November 2011, The Sands Retail Outlets opened, bringing a unique shopping destination to the Lehigh Valley.

Conference Management/Banquets: Over 12,000 square feet of meeting space to serve the greater Lehigh Valley. Located between the Hotel and Casino Floor, it is very easy to access from anywhere on property!

Below is a list of information you might find useful as you work towards becoming a Team Member.

Tips for the interview

  • Dress professionally and neatly

  • Come prepared with questions for the recruiter or hiring manager
  • Know where your interview is being held ahead of time

  • If selected as a candidate, a processing appointment will be made to review conditional offer of employment and sign any necessary documents
  • If the position for which you are being considered requires a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) license, you will be contacted to begin the paperwork process and get fingerprinted by the PA State Police, which is located on site. Click "Information on Licensing" above for more information on the licensing process. 
  • On-boarding typically occurs after successful completion of a background check and drug test
  • If applicable, you will be scheduled for a uniform fitting in our Wardrobe Department
  • All new hires must attend a three-day general orientation

Tips for the Application

Depending on your position, you may be required to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) license. There are four different types of licenses in Pennsylvania: 

Licensing Types:

  • Non-Gaming

  • G2 Level Gaming
  • Key

Each license type requires multiple steps which are reviewed with candidates during the on-boarding phase. Some of those steps include:

  • Completing paperwork in accordance with PGCB regulations
  • Submitting an application through SlotsLink (PGCB License application site)
  • Getting fingerprinted with the PA State Police (located on property)

Documents Required for Fingerprinting:

One of the following:

  • Valid US Passport or
  • Certificate of Naturalization


Two of the following:

  • Original US birth certificate
  • Current and valid state-issued driver’s license with photograph
  • Current and valid military-issued ID with photograph
  • Current and valid state-issued ID with photograph
  • Current and valid ID card issued by federal, state or local government with photograph
  • Current and valid foreign passport with proper authorization to work in the United States

Information needed for Non-Gaming License Application (SlotsLink)

In addition to basic/general information, below is a list of other information you will need to complete your Non-Gaming license application online. Please complete only that information that is applicable.

  • 1 year of residence history
  • Any gaming license and/or permit held in any jurisdiction: issuing agency, license number, expiration date, etc.
  • Criminal history: docket number, date charged, court information, etc.

Information needed for Gaming/G2 License Application (SlotsLink)

In addition to basic/general information, below is a list of other information you will need to complete your Gaming license application online. Please complete only that information that is applicable.

  • 10 years of residence history
  • Family social data: information for former spouse needed including his/her current address, annulment/separation/divorce details and spousal support order information
  • Dependent information: child support order information
  • Anyone you have lived with during the past 10 years: his/her current address, dates lived with & his/her current employment details
  • Military court martial: date of charge, nature & location of charge/arrest, etc.
  • Employment history for the past 15 years or from age 18 (whichever is less)
  • Any gaming license and/or permit held in any jurisdiction: issuing agency, license number, expiration date, etc.
  • Bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings in the past 10 years: case information, agency/court information, etc.
  • Wage obligations in the past 10 years: case information, agency/court information, obligation information
  • Banking information: bank & account information
  • Debt obligations: creditor & account information (including original amount, interest rate, date debt incurred, etc.)
  • Personal references: personal & business information for 3 references
  • Criminal history: docket number, date charged, court information, etc.
  • Legal proceedings: court/agency information and details of investigation
  • Financial liability: case information, court/agency information and case details

Information needed for Key License Application

All positions requiring a Key license will need to meet with Human Resources to initiate the process.
